a short interview with Torrey.

Karina is currently finishing up the second piece in her portrait series, "Garett", and preparing to bring it to the foundry to be cast into bronze. If you would like to pre-order a cast contact Karina.

Karina Furhman is a San Francisco Bay Area based fine artist sculptor focused on figurative and portrait sculpture. After receiving her MFA in sculpture she began her professional sculpture career.

Karina follows the traditional Beaux-Arts approach and methodology of figure modeling. Her sculptural approach is anatomically and structurally focused.

Karina feels that figurative sculpture is a form of art that can communicate very powerfully to the viewer. The culmination of the involved sculptural process into a finished piece can result in a work of art that the viewer can relate with and connect to on a powerful emotional and human level.
